Perry Wayne Howard Obituary (1946 - 2024)

Perry Wayne Howard, 77, of Madisonville, KY passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2024 at his residence. Perry was born in Providence, KY to the late Harry Howard and Lois Workman Howard. He made his living as an insurance salesman at Withers and Howard Insurance Company, where he was part owner. When he was able to, he attended First United Methodist Church. Perry's TV was always on one channel, CNN. He enjoyed playing a game of cards, working in the yard, and just being outside. He loved playing golf and supporting his grandchildren in all their endeavors. You could count on him to find unexpected ways to help his grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his wife, Donna Hibbs Howard; daughter, Tracey Cain of Madisonville; grandchildren, Ben (Rebecca) Gatlin, Ashton (Chance) Walls, Courtney (Aaron) Lynn, and Jonathan Cain; along with six great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 29, 2024 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home Madisonville Chapel with Pastors Jacob Workman and Kent Workman officiating. Burial will follow at White Oak Cemetery in Clay, KY. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. Friday until the service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Gary Scott, Aaron Lynn, Joe Workman, Mark Marvin, Rob Gatlin, Jason Knight, Joe Dunbar, and Cody Korb. Honorary pallbearers will be Otis Williams and Barry Teague.
