Ray Lamping

Raymond Patrick Lamping of Madisonville Ky. Passed away September 24,2026 at the age of 62.
He was born December 10,1963 in Los Angeles. California to Rose (Romero)Crane of Wheaton Il. Raymond F Lamping of Wheeling Il.
Ray was truly a man of all trades, with a special talent for Mechanics. Working with his hands was more than a skill, it was his passion. Perfection was what he strived for, there wasn’t much he couldn’t figure out or fix. When he wasn’t working on something, Ray enjoyed fishing and playing pool. He wasn’t working a master of jokes and storytelling. Always ready with a story to tell or joke to share. His unique personality, quick wit and unforgettable stories made him one-of-a kind man who could bring laughter around him. Beneath his humor and independent spirit was a kind heart. Ray had a special place in his heart for those who were down on their luck or struggling in life, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needn’t it. He didn’t judge people by what they had or lacked he simply helped. Ray also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, LuLu who brought him companionship and love. He precedes in death his mother and father.
Ray leaves behind his loving partner Helen McGowan. his sisters Sandy Bialek, Rose Champa and Cindy Romanski, and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Rest peacefully Ray, May the fish always be biting, the pool tables always be open, and may there always be another story to be told.
