Rena Mae Purdy

\ Mrs. Rena Mae Purdy, 74, of Madisonville, Kentucky passed away at 9:00 A.M., Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ She was born June 27, 1935 in Huntsville, MO to the late Rex Reid and Garnet Fouts Reid. She is also preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Vandiver. \ Mrs. Purdy retired from Dairy Queen. \ She is survived by her husband, Norman Purdy of Madisonville; two daughters, Shirley (Randy) Kolodey of Madisonville and Rebekah (Bill) Bingham of Madisonville; one son, Timothy Purdy of Troy, TN; one brother, Gene Reid of Madisonville; one sister, Clara Fuss of Bolivia, NC; four grandchildren, Stephanie Bingham of Madisonville; Justin Purdy of Fulton, KY; Daniel Purdy of Troy, TN; and Jessica Purdy of Troy, TN; and one step grandchild Neil Kolodey of Madisonville. \ Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 3, 2009 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Howton and Bro. Calvin Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Monday at the funeral home. \
