Robert B. Owen

Mr. Robert B. Owen, 82, of Madisonville, KY died at 2:50 P.M. Saturday, January 24, 2004 at his home. \ Born January 8, 1922 in Madisonville, he was the son of the late Robert D. Owen and Daisy Smith Owen. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Robbie Owen and Emily Owen DeBow and one brother, Walter Owen. \ Mr. Owen was a World War II Army Air Corp Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #6.He had been a salesman for Frito Lay retiring after 32 years. He attended Covenant Community Church. \ Surviving are his wife, Mary Beth Owen; two daughters, Nancy Owen Yates of Bowling Green, KY and Debbie Owen Ligon of Madisonville; one son, Steve Owen of Georgetown, TX, two brothers, Donald Owen of Broadview, IL and Rudolph Owen of Madisonville; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. \ Funeral services will be 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 28, 2004, with Rev. Tony Payne officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Pallbearers will be Jackson Brownlee, Adam Brownlee, Scott Owen, Sean Ligon, Matt Sanderson, Rev. Tony Payne, Mark Yates and Edwin Williams. \ Visitation will be form 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday. \ \
