Roberta Oakley Townsell Obituary (1948 - 2016)

Roberta Oakley Townsell, 68, of Nortonville passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Townsell was born February 28, 1948 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Oscar Oakley and Eva Poe Oakley. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Roberta made her living as a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Paul Townsell; four daughters, Paula Townsell, Jessica Barton, Blair Walker, and Robin Cunningham; two sons, George Marion Townsell, Sr., and George Townsell, Jr; two brothers, Bobby Oakley and Roscoe Oakley; four grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Larry Phaup officiating. Burial will follow in Townsell Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 9:00 A.M. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Clarence Barton, George Jr., Deondray Drone, Steven Young, Robby Walker, and Blair Walker.
