Rodney Wayne Carlton

Mr. Rodney W. Carlton, 69, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 6:28 A.M., Friday, November 20, 2009 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. \ He was born December 14, 1939 in Hopkins Co., KY to the late Ruby and Eunice Winsett Carlton. He is also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. \ Mr. Carlton was a member of the Mortons Gap Christian Church. \ He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Smith Carlton of Madisonville; two sons, Greg Carlton of Benton, KY and Paul Carlton of Madisonville; two daughter-in-laws, Jeanie Carlton of Benton, KY and Crystal Carlton of Madisonville; one sister, Geneva Wilson of Nortonville; one granddaughter, Cari Carlton of Benton, KY; two grandsons, Josh Carlton of Benton, KY and Hunter Carlton of Madisonville; two sister-in-laws, Janice Carlton of Madisonville and Willa Dean Carlton of Earlington and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Jett officiating with burial to follow in Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday and 11:00 A.M. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. \ Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the Mahr Cancer Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
