Ronald E. Marks

Mr. Ronald E. Marks, 72, of Madisonville, KY, died Saturday, November 27, 2004, at 2:36 A.M. at the V. A. Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. \ Born October 15, 1932 in Webster Co. KY. he was the son of the late Howard R. Marks and Ona Poole Marks. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and Tommy Marks. \ He was a member of the First General Baptist Church. He was a member of the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a salesman for Green River Appliance for 17 years; a Kentucky Colonel. He was the past president of the Bowlers Association, a member of the VFW Post #5480 of Madisonville and a avid bowler. \ Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Marilyn F. Marks of Madisonville, three sons, David Marks of Santa Fa, NM, Scott Marks of Hopkinsville, KY and Keith Marks of Morgantown, KY; 2 step daughters, Patsy Jones and Debra Williams both of Apopka, FL; two sisters, Roberta Brown of Madisonville and Rachel Gardner of Providence, KY; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. \ Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be form 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 12:00 noon on Wednesday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Paul, Daniel and Edwin Martz, Jimmy Justice, Scott Thomlinson and Tony Ford. \ \
