Ruby Jones

Ruby Nell Jones, 78, of Providence, KY passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024, at her residence.

She was born June 1, 1946, in Madisonville to the late Clarence Stevens and Bertha Prescott Stevens. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Morton Ray Jones.

Ruby was a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Prayer Chapel. She loved to read, play cards, and cooking. She enjoyed watching her soaps and drinking coffee, along with shooting guns.

She is survived by two daughters, Julie Tapp of Providence and Lorie (Johnny) Richmond of Providence; two sons, Richard Jones of Providence and Danny Jones of Providence; sister, Polly Burton of Providence; along with twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 7, 2024, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home Providence Chapel in Providence, with Bro. Robert Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson, KY.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the service time Monday at the funeral home.
