Russel E. Stirsman

Mr. Russel E. Stirsman, 71, of Madisonville, KY, died Saturday, January 5, 2008, at 3:10 P.M. at Maple Manor Health Care in Greenville, KY. \ Born April 2, 1936 in Central City, KY, he was the son of the late Altha and Lola Gladys Adkins Stirsman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Eugene Stirsman, one sister and four brothers. \ He retired from P&M Coal Company, Colonial Mines. \ Mr. Stirsman is survived by his wife, Ronda Stirsman of Madisonville; a daughter, Belinda Stirsman Kirtley of Beech Grove, KY; four sisters, Margie Jennings of Sacramento, KY, Betty Favell of Milwaukee, WI, Mary Helen Oakley of Bowling Green, KY, and Jeanette Pearson of Madisonville; four brothers, Robert Stirsman of Lincoln Park, MI, James Paul Stirsman of Dyersburg, TN, Ronnie Joe Stirsman and Jerald Stirsman both of Madisonville and three grandchildren. \ Graveside services will be Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville with Bro. Kenny Morrow officiating. \ Pallbearers will be Kirby Allinder, Joe Blue, Barry Kirtley, Danny Pearson, Roger Skimehorn and Louis Witherspoon. \ Visitation will be Tuesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to the Hopkins County Christian Food Bank. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
