Ruth Evelyn Patterson

Ruth Evelyn Patterson 92 of Madisonville, KY passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
She was born February 17, 1925, in Earlington, KY to the late Henry W. Brooks, Sr. and Mary Hatler Brooks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Patterson; son, Rex Martin; sister, Helen Nance; three brothers, Henry Brooks, Jr., Carl Raymond Brooks, and Turner Brooks; and a grandson, Christopher Loftis.
Mrs. Patterson was a retired LPN at Hopkins County Hospital, volunteer for the Red Cross. She was a member of the Ladies Golf association at Madisonville Country Club and she loved crafts, sewing, playing golf, and flower gardening
She is survived by one daughter, Cheri Loftis of Madisonville; two grandchildren, Lori Loftis and Susan Martin, and one daughter-in-law Debbie Martin from Madisonville.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Barnett-Strother Funeral with Bro. George Brooks and Rev. Lon Lorton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tim Books, George Brooks, Brad Tucker, Jim Agin, Mike Franklin, and Tem Major.
Memorial contributions can be made to Madisonville First Presbyterian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
