Thelma M. Kinchen

Mrs. Thelma M. Kinchen, 66, of Madisonville, KY, died Friday, September 24, 2004, at 3:15 A.M., at her residence. \ Born May 4, 1938, in Christian County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lora Payne Maddox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Samples and Altibea Hunter, and by four brothers, Herschel Maddox, Herman Maddox, Billy Maddox, and Larry Maddox. \ She was a housewife and attended Providence Rural United Methodist Church in Hanson, KY. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. \ She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Arthur B. Art Kinchen of Madisonville; two daughters, Mrs. Mark (Sandy) Cunningham and Beth Ann Puckett, both of Madisonville; one son, Arthur Dale Kinchen of Madisonville; two sisters, Sue Kyle and Betty Watson, both of Madisonville; one brother, Steve Maddox of Holt, MO; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be Sunday, September 26, 2004, at 1:00 P.M., at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Hatchett and Bro. Bob Williams officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY. \ Visitation will be Saturday, September 25, 2004, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., and from 10:00 A.M. until the service time on Sunday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Chris Morris, Eddie Plunkett, Bryan Sadler, Brian Clayton, Jared Cunningham, and Paul Watson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Cunningham, Tony Kinchen, David Kyle, Clay Utley, Mike Jacobs, Steven Maddox, and Eddie Puckett. \ Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or Green River Hospice Patient supplies and food. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
