Thelma Davidson McKinney

Thelma Davidson McKinney, 91 of Madisonville, KY passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
She was born June 3, 1927 in Beckley, WV to the late Robert Davidson and Marie Stover. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert McKinney, Jr.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madisonville since 1966 where she was a part of the Martha Sunday School Class. She was also active in the Eastern Star where she was Past Grand Matron of Kentucky. She enjoyed reading and spending time with all of her family.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Robert McKinney; daughter, Wanda (Greg) Powers of Princeton, WV; one son, John A. McKinney of Madisonville; eight grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 24 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Dr. Kevin Maples officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday and from 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. There will be an Eastern Star service held at 6:45 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Adam Powers, Brian McKinney, Bennett McKinney, Brent McKinney, Drew Mays, Alex Clark, and Jason McKinney.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
