Thelma Louise Oldham

Thelma Louise Oldham, 90 of Madisonville, KY passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville.
Mrs. Oldham was born May 8, 1927 in Jonesboro, AR to the late Leo Ladd and Lucille Settles Ladd. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Oldham, one son, Ronnie Oldham, two brothers, one sister, two grandchild, two son-in-laws, and one daughter-in-law.
Thelma worked as a self-employed monogrammer, where she started monogramming the sports uniforms in Hopkins County during the 1960's. She was known as the Monogram Lady. She was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. She was also a youth leader at Grapevine Holiness Church for many years . She enjoyed doing crafts and being a mother to her six children.
She is survived by three daughters, Joanne Oldham Hargrove of Madisonville, Brenda Clark of Nortonville, KY, and Trenna Smith of Georgia; two sons, Donald (Kathy) Oldham of Ft. Wayne, IN and Joey (Mary) Oldham of Madisonville; one sister, Dollie Irvin of Arcola, IL; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Hiday, Bobby Hiday, Donnie Oldham, Joey Oldham Jr., Michael Oldham, Jared Smith, and Jordan Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Marci Oldham, Jennifer Marszalek, Angie Baldinger, Laura Farrell, Lori Clark Ezell, and Heather Hiday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Lyme's Disease Association. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
