Thelma Jewell Corum Williams

Mrs. Thelma Jewell Corum Williams, 86 of Madisonville, KY, died Monday, September 12, 2005, at 6:15 A.M., at NHC Healthcare of Madisonville. \ Born March 12 1919, in Webster County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jess McDowell and George Ann Riley McDowell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Stanley Williams on July 26, 2003; one son, John Towns Corum; and a brother, J. C. McDowell. \ Mrs. Williams had been a waitress at the Holiday Inn in Madisonville and a member of Grapevine Baptist Church. \ She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Corum Duncan of Manitou, KY; a son, Donald Coleman Corum of Madisonville; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 14, 2005, at 2:00 P.M., at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Anderson officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Mausoleum. \ Visitation will be Tuesday, September 13, 2005, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and from 1:00 P.M. until the service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to Gideons International or the Alzheimers Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
