William Glenn Branson

Mr. William Glenn Branson, 68, of Madisonville, KY, died Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at the V.A. Hospital in Marion, IL. \ Born June 6, 1938, in Hopkins County, KY, he was the son of the late William Lonzo Branson and Jettie Wilson Branson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Joyce Branson on February 27, 2002, and a son, Rusty Branson on July 23, 1983. \ He retired from Peabody #11 Coal Mines and was a member of Pritchetts Chapel. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served from 1958-1961. \ Mr. Branson is survived by a daughter, Mia Vestel Branson of Madisonville; a son, William Shawn Branson of Madisonville; two step-daughters, Debbie Lucas of Murray, KY, and Kathy Hogart of Hanson, KY; two step-sons, Ricky Roberts of Hanson and Danny Roberts of Madisonville; three sisters, Shirley Ambrose of Philpot, KY, and JoAnn Branson & Carolyn Campbell, both of Evansville, IN; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. \ Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2006, at 2:00 P.M., at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. Bobby Rich and Roy Conley officiating. Burial will be at a later date. \ Visitation will be Sunday from noon until the service time at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to Pritchetts Chapel. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
