William I. Jennings

\ William I. Jennings, 89, of Madisonville, KY passed away, September 25, 2014 at Life Care Center in Elizabethton, TN. \ He was born in Rome, KY to the late Charlie William Jennings and Irene Vittitow Jennings Neel. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Charles Barlett Neel; two sisters, Elizabeth Imogene Jennings Fisher and Essie Myrl Neel Ray; two brothers, Charlie Leonard Jennings and George William Neel. \ Mr. Jennings was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, a Telephone Engineer for Bellsouth, a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He loved spending time with his family, was an avid gardener and an enthusiastic fisherman and reading was now his favorite pastime. \ He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Dorothea Bartlett Jennings; two sisters, Blanche Ruby Jennings and Jenny Lee Neel James both of Owensboro, KY; one brother, Richard Earl Neel of Hardingsburg, KY; two daughters, Bertie Ziegler of Philadelphia, PA and Jackie Jennings Cooper of Madisonville; one son, Billy W. Jennings of Bardstown, KY; five grandchildren, William and Audrey Cooper, and Matthew Ziegler of Madisonville; Candace Ziegler Slaton of Elizabethton, and Jennifer Ziegler Moyer of Philadelphia; and four great grandchildren, Daniel, Jake and Aaron Pierce and Madeline Ziegler. \ Memorial services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday September 29, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2424 Anton Road in Madisonville, KY with Mr. Scott Basham officiating. \ Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. Monday September 29, 2014 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Owensboro, KY \
