David Pharris

Mr. David Pharris, 64 of Birmingham, Alabama died Saturday, September 6, 2008 at his residence. \ He was born April 13, 1944 in Madisonville, KY to the late Major O. Pharris and Helen Marie Robertson Pharris. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Pharris and one sister, Jean Toon. \ He worked passionately in the mining industry throughout his adult life. \ He is survived by two daughters, Denise Hagan of Birmingham, AL and Kimberly Dawn (Sonny) Ong of Huntsville, AL; three sisters, Katherine Versnick of Madisonville, Linda Fuqua of Gallatin, TN and Lista Pharris of Madisonville; and one brother, Mark Pharris of Madisonville. \ Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with the Bro. Mathus Conrad officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville. \ Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday and after 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the funeral Home. \ Pallbearers will be Sonny Ong, James Pharris, Gary Wayne Peyton, Alan Fuqua, Frank Versnick, Mark Pharris II and Mark Pharris. \ \
