William Herbert Scott

William Herbert Scott, 86, of Madisonville, KY passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
Mr. Scott was born February 14, 1929 in Sturgis, KY to the late Herbert Scott and Norma Rutherford Scott.
Mr. Scott was a member of the Pennyrile Church of Christ in Madisonville. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a lifetime member of the Mens Bowling Association. He was also a retired coal miner and retired 21 years from the US Air Force.
He is survived by his wife Emma Jean Jaynes Scott of Madisonville; three daughters, Pam (Patrick "Chip") Stuart of Madisonville, Kim (Richard "Dickie") George of Madisonville and Kathy (Gary) Kirkwood of White Plains, KY; one son, Jeff (Debbie) Scott of Madisonville; three sisters, Jeanne Roberts of Madisonville, Bonnie Riley of Florence, AL, and Alma Askew of Sheffield, AL; seven grandchildren, Drew Scott, Kacy Scott, Chad Cunningham, Beau Cunningham, David Crowley, Shannon Tabor and Rusty Tabor; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Shawn Niestrath and Bro. Louis Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with full US Air Force military rites.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday and after 9:00 A.M. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chad Cunningham, Beau Cunningham, Rusty Tabor, David Crowley, Drew Scott, Braden Tabor and Krey Cunningham.
Memorial contributions can be made to ALS Foundation or the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
