Rachel Wicks

Mrs. Rachel Wicks, 91, of Madisonville, KY, died Sunday, October 29, 2006, at 2:00 P.M. at NHC Healthcare in Madisonville. \ Born January 24, 2915 in Hopkins Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Erskin Thomas Crabtree and Sophie Beal Crabtree. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wyman Russell Wicks in 1987; a sister, Elizabeth Parker and two brothers, Marshall Lee Crabtree and Buell Crabtree. \ She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville. She also volunteered with numerous local agencies. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Eddie and Mary Hughes of Manitou, KY, Finny Hughes of Wisconsin, W.C. and Mary Parker of Decatur, IL, Duane and Liz Parker of Washington, Lois Tron and Yvonne Koch of Evansville, IN, Jan and Mike Trejo and Paula and Jim Ward, all of Arizona. \ Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 2, 2006, at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Dr., Don Davis officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY. \ Visitation will be Thursday from noon until the service time at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to Kentucky United Methodist Home for children and Youth. Envelopes ill be available at the funeral home.
