Zilpal \Zepal\"" Jones Obituary (1921 - 2006)

Mrs. Zilpal Zepal Elizabeth Jones, 85, of Manitou, KY, died Tuesday, September 19, 2006, at 4:50 P.M., at Pembroke Nursing & Rehab Center in Pembroke, KY. \ Born January 3, 1921, in Butler County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Lorenzia Meakins Estes and Helen Elizabeth McCormack Estes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Essell Edward Jones; six sisters, Allie Roberts, Vera Swope, Gladys Aldison and Dorris Stone, Estelle Offutt, Ruth Winstead and a brother, Raymond Estes. \ She had worked for Enro Shirt Factory and had been a member of Madisonville Second Baptist Church. She loved making ceramics, gardening and sewing. \ She is survived by one son, Jerry Wayne Jones of Manitou, KY; three grandchildren and her caregivers, Dwight and Nancy Mason of Earlington. \ Funeral services will be Friday, September 22, 2006, at 2:00 P.M. at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. J.D. Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. \ Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. Friday until the services at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to the Second Baptist Church. \
